The Kennet and Avon Canal from mile 48 to 49 is part of the Fifteen
Mile Pound which roughly follows a contour line on the side of Pewsey
Vale. The towpath is on the south side.

from Allington on the north side of the canal and flows southwards to
Etchilhampton Water.

side footings of a swing bridge, but I know of no bridge here, nor of
stop gates, ...
